HELLO, GENÊT MAYOR

The artist Genêt Mayor (*1976) lives and works in Cheseaux. Between 1996 and 2000 he studied at the department for Visual Arts at the ECAL in Lausanne. Since then he has been part of various solo and group exhibitions, including the Palais de Tokyo in Paris, the Musée Cantonal des Beaux Arts in Lausanne, the Musée Rath in Geneva and the Villa Arson in Nice. In 2000 he won the Prix Ernest Manganel.

His work is part of the collections of the Musée de l’Abbaye de Saint-Croix, the Frac Aquitaine, Frac Pays de la Loire, Musée Cantonal des Beaux-Arts and the Musée Jenisch in Vevey.

From May 5 to 26, his work “Expert knob twiddlers” will be shown at the La Placette in Lausanne.
